Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the appointment of three Commissioners-designate, two Special Advisers and four Senior Special Assistants as part of efforts to further strengthen the State’s governance structure and enhance effective coordination in the implementation of its development agenda.
The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who conveyed the approval, said the Governor has forwarded the names of the three Commissioners-designate to the Gombe State House of Assembly for screening and approval.
The Commissioner-nominees are; Dr. Ahmed Wali Doho, Nasiru Adamu Degri and Dr. Muhammad A. Bello.
Similarly, the Governor has approved the appointment of Abdulmalik Musa Jibrin and Mohammed Bashir Nuhu as Special Advisers.
The SSG has also announced the appointment of Jibrin M. Ali, Sadiq Mohammed Abubakar (BB Kumo), John Launa and Danlami Sanda as Senior Special Assistants II on Political and Community Engagement.
The appointments, according to a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General (Press Affairs), Government House Gombe, take immediate effect, while the appointments of the Commissioner-nominees remain subject to the approval of the State House of Assembly.
