The 2015 Multipurpose Cooperates Limited has unveiled the Abuja 2022 Business summit carnival to boost small medium enterprise scale in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja
Speaking with journalists at the sidelines of the unveiling held at Febson Mall, Abuja yesterday, Its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Joseph Obaje said that the essence of this program is to boost the SMEs in the FCT.
He also disclosed that the program targets small business owners in FCT and we are going to have 5000 inflows of people who come in and go.
He said the Carnival will house a beauty pageant, football competition, fun for the children..and also place of a hangout for parents, seminar section where the captain of life of would come and address the participants and also have a different topic to treat.
“We are also looking out to have business drama clinic to attend who have recorded Failed business, and also struggling on how to come back to life, we would diagnose their problems, give them counsel that worth bounce back to life and possibly give them financial support,” he said
While speaking on the government part, he said there is a lot for government ought to do, the government is not doing enough, there is a need to give businessmen, and women soft loans, and also make the environment conducive for their business to thrive, but all these are not there.
Also speaking, the acting Chief Executive Officer of Abuja Enterprise AgencyShehu Abdulkadir, explained that a carnival is an event that would be celebrated excellent of all Small medium scale in Abuja and also allow us to deliberate on the challenges facing the SME and also a profound solution to them.
According to him, at the end of the day, we are going to activate everything we deliberate together with promoters of this Abuja business carnival to ensure that provides a good and enabling environment for SMEs in the FCT. We see this carnival as a platform to promote opportunities for SMEs in the FCT.
On his part; Simon Peter, the head of project and marketing, explained that the business carnival summit is on the top market and the essence of this year’s focus is on small and medium-scale businesses.
“Of course, for you to drive your economy, you need to empower small businesses because if you look, the research has shown that they contribute over 70% of our GDP.
“Basically what we want to do with the first Abuja edition, we are going to have it in other states. We are starting with the Abuja edition. We want to empower these businesses and allow them to create a platform for them to network and get to meet all that business because in the course of the carnival we’re gonna have manufacturer produce to teach them a lot of things about business,” he said
