President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday appointed Mr. Bernard Otti as the Deputy Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Finance and Accounts.

The President in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, stated that his appointment was in furtherance of ongoing efforts to transform the NNPC into a commercially-driven entity.

Otti was formerly the NNPC’s current Group Executive Director (Finance and Accounts) before his recent appointment.

He hails from Anambra State and had held senior positions in some of the largest financial institutions in Nigeria and internationally. He has also served on the boards of numerous public and private institutions, Abati stated.
