Operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command, under the leadership of C.P Ali Audu Dabigi PSC, have intensified the manhunt for kidnappers and rescue operations for victims.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Command’s PPRO, ASP Mansir Hassan, and made available to the media in Kaduna, yesterday.
The statement revealed that the Operatives achieved a significant breakthrough in the fight against crime with the successful rescue of a kidnapped victim, Philibus Mathew, a 58-year-old male resident of Unguwan Kedaw in Ikara LGA who fell victim to a heinous kidnapping incident.
Recall that Mr. Mathew was abducted on the 24th of March 2024 at about 12:45hrs by a group of unidentified gunmen, numbering about 12, armed with AK-47 rifles and other dangerous weapons.
But, following swift and coordinated efforts by the Police, the kidnapped victim was located in Unguwar Gajere, Sabon Garin Daji area, Makarfi and rescued.
While commending the dedication of the police operatives who ensured the successful rescue of Mr. Mathew, the Commissioner urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
