The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Nigeria has condemned in strong terms the Sunday attack by Boko Haram terrorists on villages in Yobe State which claimed several lives and destroyed property.

According to reports, Boko Haram had attacked villagers and killed farmers, burnt houses and shops in Mafa village of Tarnuwa Local Government of Yobe State on Sunday evening.

Competent sources confirmed that the terrorists launched the attack on the villagers at about 4pm when residents were returning from their farms.

An Embassy of Saudi Arabia statement in Abuja on Wednesday expressed the “Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s condemnation and denunciation of the treacherous terrorist attack that took place in Yobe State, northeastern Nigeria, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries.

“The Embassy reiterates the Kingdom’s complete rejection of violence, terrorism, and extremism.

“The Kingdom also expresses its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased and the government and people of Nigeria,” the statement said.
