The Kwara House of Assembly on has passed a revised 2014 Kwara appropriation bill of N115, 601, 272,274 into law.

The revised appropriation bill was in response to the request of Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed who sent it to the House in August this year.

The earlier budget size passed by the House at the commencement of 2014 was N130, 262, 850, 907 while the revised budget which represent 11 point six percent decrease from the earlier budget was passed after the adoption of the report of the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation on the bill.

The Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Suleiman ldris while presenting the report which lasted for over two hours urged the house to pass the bill into law.

According to the bill, the former capital expenditure which was N51, 421, 213,154 now stands at N39, 791, 909, 014 which represent 22. 62 percent decrease.

The revised recurrent expenditure according to the bill stood at N65, 155, 529, 971 while the new capital receipt is N52, 418, 984,250.

The Speaker, Barrister Abdurasak Atunwa after the passage of the revised appropriation bill directed the Clerk of the House, Mr Oyetunde Oyeniyi to produce clean copy of the bill for Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed assent.
