The parliamentary staff association of Nigeria (PASAN) Gombe state chapter has shutdown Gombe state House of Assembly following the compliance with the nationwide strike of the association.
While briefing Journalists at the gate of the state house of assembly in Gombe, the chairman of the association Mohammed Bello Dukku said inline with this, federal government has failed to obey section 121(3a) of the federal republic of Nigeria that paved way for legislative autonomy.
He said that the assembly would remain closed indefinitely by asking it’s members to stay at home.
In a remark the state secretary of the Association Aminu Aliyu swap, added that the closure of the state Assembly is inline with the directives given by the mother union in respond to the failure of the federal government to implement the financial autonomy granted to the houses of Assembly by the then president Mohammadu Buhari nationwide, despite several meetings.
