The federal government has commenced investigation into a viral online video about negligence of some medial staff at the emergency unit of the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, Abuja, recently.

The video revealed how some accident victims were left unattended at the emergency section.

It was also worrisome that one of the staff captured on video, attributed their action to the non-availability of medical consumables, including latex gloves, resuscitation equipment as well as shortage of patient transfer equipment.

But while responding to these concerns, the Head of Clinical Services FMC Abuja, Dr. Bioku Muftau who spoke to newsmen on Monday, denied the claims.

He said its preliminary investigations revealed that the hospital’s emergency department had all that were reported to be lacking in the video.
