The Yobe State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched an intensive grassroots mobilization campaign to dominate the party’s ongoing national e-membership registration.
State Party Chairman Alhaji Muhammad Gadaka issued the rallying call on Wednesday during a strategic meeting with stakeholders from all seventeen local government areas in Damaturu.
Gadaka declared that Yobe should not merely participate but aim to lead the country in registered party members.
“Our ambition is straightforward: Yobe shouldn’t just join this effort—we should lead it,” he stated.
He emphasized that every stakeholder, from the state level down to wards and polling units, must mobilize and sensitize eligible individuals within their domains.
“This is on all of us. We need to ensure everyone who can join, does,” Gadaka added.
The chairman highlighted Yobe’s strategic advantage, noting that with Governor Mai Mala Buni serving as Chairman of the APC National Reconciliation and Mobilisation Committee, the state is positioned to set the national pace.
The Special Adviser on Political and Legislative Matters, Hon. Usman Adamu Kabaruma, and the State Party Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Bakabe, reinforced that the registration is vital for every Yobe indigene aged 18 and above.
The forum disclosed that in the ongoing North-East zonal registration, only two states have so far recorded higher figures than Yobe.
The meeting thus set the stage for a coordinated push to convert this momentum into a definitive registration lead.
