Movement for National Accommodation and Consensus for Continuity (MONACCO) has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision to nominate former Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Mr. Godswill Akpabio as minister to work with in his second tenure.
This made known by the MONACCO national President, Salisu Isa Gusau, in a press conference yesterday in Gusau the state capital, saying, the group is now contented that, the second tenure of President Buhari will be more lucrative in terms of service delivery democratic wise.
Among the reasons why the group has swiftly commended the nomination as according to Isa Gusau, was that the candidate had played a great and unique role in converting Akwa Ibom state to what it is today, as he moved it from agrarian to one of most industrial states across the country.
“We have no amount of doubt, if a productive politician like Godswill Akpabio is given opportunity to serve as a minister, the entire style of the present administration will change to more better considering his unreserved love and attention on developmental projects capable of touching the lives of the masses”, Isa Gusau has contended.
He lamented what he described as baseless critics against his nomination especially embarked upon by some politicians that did not mean well for the country but, rather suggesting unpatriotic politicians that will only dance to their tune, thereby, back-pulling the administration off the promised destination.
