No fewer than 144 master craft persons were said to have been trained on acquisition skill programme in Gombe state.
Commissioner of Education, Mrs. Aishatu Maigari made the disclosure on Monday during the opening ceremony of a 5 day generic training for master craft persons.
The training which was said to have been iniated by the innovation development and effectiveness in the acquisition of skills IDEAS carefully selected participants from 144 wards across the 11 local government areas of the state.
While appreciating the gesture the commissioner said at the end of the training, participants are expected to benefit from the resource persons.
She said with this development, Gombe state government made it mandatorily in training over 10,000 beneficiaries as time goes on as it’s tirget.
Also speaking, the executive secretary of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) Engr. Idris Bugaji represented by Mallam Lawan Hafis said the programme was organised by the world bank in collaboration with NBTE to engaged youths through acquisition skill training, adding that Gombe is the first state in the country to benefit such training which according to him the participants to take advantage of the programme by listen attentively inorder to acquire skills from the resource persons.
