2 Niger Revenue Service staff arrested for forgery

Two suspected Staff of the Niger State Internal Revenue Service who allegedly wrote petition and forged the signature of the Board Chairman, Muhammed Madami Etsu, have been arrested.

The two staff identified as Danjuma Jaye Ibeto and Garba Abdullahi, allegedly conspired against the leadership of the Board, over the new innovation introduced by the Chairman to reposition and boost Revenue Generation in the state.

Danjuma Ibeto was said to have allegedly secured employment with forged Kebbi State University result.

It was said that the duo reportedly worked against many Chairmen of the Board for more than ten years.

Responding, the  Chairman, Niger State Internal Revenue Service Mohammed Madami Etsu, urged citizens of the state to explore ways capable of moving the state forward, adding that the incident will not deter him from repositioning the board.

Madami Etsu who further charged staff of the board to be professional in their activities, said his doors are always open for ideas capable of improving revenue generation in the state.

When contacted Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the arrest of the two suspects.
