“There is need to cautioned ourselves particularly on the use of foul language during the general election campaign. Whoever violates this will be prosecuted according to the law.”

“We appeal to you to practice politics of brotherliness, election is every four years so it should not disintegrate us but unite us. Your ambition should not override that of the society,” the police commissioner told the politicians during the meeting.

He called on the politicians to educate their followers against the use of foul languages during electioneering campaign.

“Campaign should be based on issues and not on individual so the police will not fold it arms and allow unrest during the election. Already we are battling with the problem of insurgency so we cannot afford another problem which can divert our attention from the enemy,” he also said.
