From Ado Abubakar Musa, Jos

As the 2015 general election draws closer, the Chairman Ulamau Council of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa’ikamatis Sunnah, Sheik Sani Yahaya Jingir, has called on all Nigerians to get ready to change the leadership of the country by electing credible people who would have focus for Nigeria come 2015.

This is just as he added that the current administration had failed to ensure the safety of life and property in the country.

Jingir , who made the call yesterday during this year’s Sallah preaching at the Bauchi road motor pack ground, said that people should use their force, wealth, consciousness and everything humanly possible to elect people that are patriotic and nationalistic.

“It is clear to all of us in this country, including Muslims and Christians, that the present government is not securing our lives and property. I urged all Nigerians to use their wealth, force, consciousness and any lawful means to change the present government come 2015 election. This can only be achieved when we elect credible people that are patriotic and sympathetic to Nigerians.”

The Islamic scholar further called on Nigerians irrespective of status or religion to be brave and firm in saying the truth, stressing that they should not be afraid to lose their positions or benefit anything for doing the right thing.
