The former Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku has formally declared his intention to contest for the Nasarawa State governorship seat in 2015.
Maku make the declaration in Lafia yesterday at the people Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat while addressing newsmen, adding that “I am here to notify my party leaders and Nasarawa people that I am in the race of governorship of Nasarawa State in 2015”.
Maku said that he is offering himself with all the skills acquired and commitment as the Minister of Information of the federal republic of Nigeria to the people of Nasarawa State.
The former minister who toured the state in a rally by young men from Karu to Lafia, promised to run a government of youths by the youths and for the youths, if given the mantle of leadership in 2015.
He however thanked President Goodluck Jonathan for graciously releasing him to answer the call of his people, while also expressing appreciation to the party chairman, Yunnan Iliya for the party’s support and prayers for him to served Nigeria effectively.
