South-south National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Cairo Ojuigbo, has promised to ensure full delivery of the zone to President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 Presidential election if he decides to contest.

Ojuigbo who was fielding questions from newsmen at the PDP national headquarters yesterday disclosed that he had perfected plans to woo members of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the zone to vote for Jonathan.

He added that despite the prevailing security challenges in the country, Jonathan is riding on, adding that the leadership of PDP in the zone would speak with their brothers in the opposition APC from Edo and Rivers states to support the President.

“We will talk to them; we will campaign to APC members in Rivers and Edo. We shall work extra hard by talking to our brothers in the other parties in the states to come and join this train that is heading Nigeria to right direction.

“We shall go to every nooks and crannies in the South-south; we will work 24 hours in the tradition of the PDP. We will work to ensure that we do not lose any seat that is on the card to be contested for.

“We will campaign and beg our brothers even in the other parties to cooperate with us because this is a South- south agenda.”

He said that the zone was very determined to ensure the re-election of President Jonathan in 2015, adding that it was evidence in the 4 million signatures received by the Transformation Ambassador (TAN) rally in Port Harcourt from those who want him re-elected.

He said the zone was convinced that Jonathan had done very well in all sectors of the country`s economy and should be re-elected.

Ojuigbo said “we are convinced that the transformation agenda is getting Nigeria out of the woods and that in spite of the country`s security challenges, the President is riding on.”

He added that for the country to continue moving forward, there was need to give President Jonathan more time to complete his transformation agenda.
