The National Auditor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday gave the assurance that the party would dislodge the opposition All Progressives Congress in the South west region in 2015 beginning from the August Osun governorship election.

Adeyanju, in an interaction with newsmen yesterday said the opposition propaganda and deceit would no longer work in the region as the voting masses have become wiser.

According to him, “we said it before in clear terms ahead of the Ekiti Governorship elections and we matched our words with action and with the support of the people of the state at end of the election, the PDP triumphed over APC. We are saying it again now very loud and clear ahead of the August 9 Osun Governorship election that we are reclaiming the state from the APC ahead of the 2015 elections when we will reclaim the remaining states in the zone from them”

“Right now, our People are more informed and more sensitive because they have tested both APC and PDP and they are in better position to know which of the duo is truly out to do their bid by providing their basic needs within the available resources rather than squandering the limited available resources on unproductive ventures based on their godfathers’ interest,” he stated.

“Go to any of the South- West states today, t he governments have commercialised every thing especially Health and Education; go to their tertiary institutions, tuition fees have gone sky rocking; majority of the students can no longer afford school fees and you know what that means. Students of the Lagos State University, LASU embarked on street protests for days because of the new tuition regime introduced before it was reduced. Same case in Ogun, Ekiti and Oyo states while in Osun state, all the state owned tertiary institutions have been on strike for about five months now”.

“Tell me, what future do you expect of a society that can not provide basic things such as education, health, good road networks, security and portable drinking water for its people? This was not the case when the PDP governors were in control. In fact in Ekiti and Ogun states alone, the PDP government then established several tertiary institutions because of the peculiar situation of our zone but what happened? When the APC governors came, they either scrapped or merged them. This time around, our people are wiser”, he stressed.

The PDP National Auditor also appealed to the people of the Zone not to be deceived again by the antics of the opposition as he said,” I want our people in the zone to reject the APC as in Ekiti; the people of Osun should follow suit while other states should do similar thing come 2015 after which they  will now begin to see the unprecedented developmental programmes the party has in stocks for them.”
