2015: Pindiga community drums support for Jonathan

People Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders from Pindiga community in Akko local government area of Gombe state have unanimously endorsed President Jonathan as the party’s candidate for the presidential elections, even as the cloud of uncertainty overshadows the 2015 elections, with political activities in the state continuing to gain momentum.

At a political meeting held at the Gombe International Hotel conference hall Friday, the stakeholders comprising ward and local government party executives said the choice for re-election of President Jonathan for second term was based on merit.

Speaking at the meeting, the leader of the community Alhaji Ismail Mu’azu said President Jonathan had performed tremendously for the development of the country, adding that his administration had also impacted in the lives of the people.

According to him, the increased number of supporters at Jonathan’s presidential rallies was to allow his continuity in the presidency, saying that the idea of his continuity was to enhance the economy and socio-development in the country.

He also stressed the need for Jonathan’s re-election to enable him complete his transformation agenda and urged  Nigerians to  shun differences and  embraced the transformation agenda of Jonathan in order to move the country forward, noting that there is need  for an expedient sacrifice for the peace of the nation.
