As the February 2015 general elections draws nearer, the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and now gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu’s campaign organization has presented his running mate in the person of Rev Habila Istifanus.
Mallam Ribadu while presenting Rev Istifanus as his deputy governor to the stakeholders yesterday at the Lelewal Motel Yola explained that his choice was arrived at after a wide consultation with all party stakeholders across the state.
He stressed that, Istifanus is a man for all seasons and has the competency to assist him in bringing fast development to the state.
“I am here to present the winning team for you. We are here to bring before you what we have been doing in the past couple of months. We hereby present to you this man of God,” he said.
Ribadu who was accompanied by two out of the three Senatorial candidates of the party as well as party executives, noted that that PDP team consists of people of proven integrity and track record whom if given the mandate will change the fortune of the state.
“We promised to present to you competent running mate that will bring rapid transformation in the state. In the process of doing that we moved round the state and we finally arrived at what we believed was the best team for Adamawa State,” he said.
Ribadu noted that the choice of Istifanus followed his intimidating credentials and diligent record of service adding that he is a man of letters, a community organizer and manager of people.
Rev Istifanus was a former executive Chairman of Ganye Local Government in the state and is married with 4 children and was an alumnus of University of Base, School of Politics and International Studies, United Kingdom where he obtained masters of advanced studies and MA International Studies respectively.
