Date:

From Yakubu Mustapha, Minna

The Niger State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart and former member House of representative, Hon. Isah Shaba (Bandolier) said that PDP is set to unseat Governor Sani Bello as the gubernatorial aspirant Engineer Hanafi Muazu Sudan has one hundred support of the party caucus and its members in the state.
Hon. Shaba gave the clarification in a statement he issued in Minna yesterday to debunk a media report in a National Daily not Peoples Daily that is contrary to the real situation of political calculation in PDP hence the need to quickly respond to only this aspects of the publication.
The statement added that Engr Hanafi is very closed to late Engr. Abdullahi Abdulkadir Kure and immediate past Governor, Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu as well a close political ally of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan not as speculated in the said report as published in a political analysis of the Niger state ‘Ibeto, Sudan, Others in subtle moves to unseat Niger Gov.’
It further explained that the said aspirant is the only credible Peoples Democratic Party member who have the full support of the party caucus and members of the party as well remain the front runner of the PDP in the state.
On whether he can pull crowd, the recent PDP rally in zone A that took place in Agaie undoubtedly shows the massive support and acceptance of the people for Engr Hanafi Muazu Sudan come 2019, the statement added.
Shaba in the statement also disclosed that those mentioned alongside Engr Hanafi Muazu Sudan in the analysis including former deputy governor and ambassador to South Africa, Hon. Ahmed Musa Ibeto are not PDP members.
He therefore urged the media practitioners to properly verify to authenticate whatever is been published to the public to avoid misinformation and misrepresentation of facts.
It stressed that the aspirant remain resolute, focused, committed to his aspiration of ending the hardship currently experienced, discrimination, depravation and provision of the required dividend of democracy to the people of the state come 2019.
