A former Federal Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steels Development, Dauda Kigbu, has formerly declared his ambition to contest the Governorship seat of Nasarawa state on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) in order to restore confidence, unity and peace in Nasarawa state.
Kigbu added that as a founding father of the creation of Nasarawa state in 1996; if voted into office, his administration will bring together brothers and sisters to live as one in peace and harmony.
According to him “My mission is to create an environment that enables all ethnic groups, big or small, strong or weak, to live in an atmosphere of peace and harmony, with equal opportunities for the development of our state”.
He continued “A framework will be put in place that will eliminate and breakdown boundaries and barriers that have been built along lines of ethnicity and religious bigotry in order to create an all-inclusive government.”
“I am coming into this race and by the grace of God into office as governor, with a lot of experience, exposure, knowledge, preparation and patriotism to serve and to contribute to the ongoing efforts to make our collective dreams of developing our state come true”, he added.
Kigbu further promised to serve the people of the state with all sense of responsibility, humility, transparency and dedication if given the mandate.
