2019: Use your Voter’s Card wisely – Presidential aspirant

By Osaigbovo Iguobaro, Benin

A Presidential Aspirant in the 2019 general election and Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, has asked Nigerian youths to desist from needless criticisms against President Muhammadu Buhari, over his alleged comments in London, in which he was reported to have accused Nigerian youths of laziness.
He said the time spent on warring on mainstream and social Media is a wasted effort.
Sowore spoke during a Town Hall meeting with youths in Edo state at the Weekend in Benin City, in a veiled reference to President Buhari declaration last Week in London where the Nigerian leader said most Nigerian youths are lazy.
He charged the youths to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and use it to determine the kind of leadership they want ahead of 2019 polls.
He charged Nigerians to channel their energy in fruitful ventures which would improve the lots of the downtrodden in society.
Sowore listed infrastructural development, security, power, and provision of employment for youths as top priorities of his government if elected President of Nigeria in 2019.
According to him, “This is the time to clean Nigeria. To show strength that we are not lazy is not through social Media. Rather, get your PVC and vote them out. We are not going to be snatching ballot boxes or assassinating for them anymore.
“We are not interested in rotation of power. So, what we are interested in is to take power through democratic means”, he said.
According to him, the task of fixing Nigeria is a big one which cannot be left for lazy people who have been running Nigeria for their selfish interest, adding “About 21 percent of workers in Nigeria are ghost workers.
“Imagine the NPF has 80,000 ghost workers which could have been used to provide jobs for unemployed competent youths. We need a Commander-in-Chief that is decisive in dealing with all kinds of criminality”, he stressed.
