The All Progressives Congress,APC Adamawa state chapter said it will today, appeal the judgement of a Federal High Court I Yola, barring it from fielding a candidate in the 2023 elections.

Secretary of the party, Dr.Raymond Chidama made the disclosure at a press conference in Yola, Friday, stating that the decision of the party rejecting the judgement in its entirety remain sacrosanct.

Chidama said the party will not rest on its oars until justice is attained, describing the court judgement as “harsh” urging party members, stakeholders especially candidates to remain resolute and law abiding until the desired goal is achieved.

Chidama announced the party’s disappointment over the deliberate refusal of the court to order for fresh party primary for the governorship election, citing the cases of Anambra and Zamfara states as a judicial precedence (case study).

Recalled that the Federal High court sitting in Yola nullified the governorship party primary election conducted by the APC which produced Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani as the party’s flag bearer based on irregularities in the process and non compliance with the APC constitution as well as section 18 (13) of the Electoral Act 2022.
