In preparation to kickstart its campaign for the 2023 general elections,the Social Democratic Party has inaugurated a 222 member campaign council in Adamawa state.
Inaugurating the campaign council in Yola weekend,the Gubernatorial candidate of the party(SDP),Dr.Umar Ardo said the formation of the campaign council was done after wide consultation with the party’s officials, stakeholders and various candidates across the state.
Ardo charged all that made the list of the campaign council to know that their emergence was based on merit and sacrifices to the party, appealing to them to bear their wealth of experiences for the victory of the party at the polls.
Ardo while expressing hope of winning the gubernatorial seat in the state come 2023, tasked the campaign council to include every single member of the party for votes mobilisation from all nooks and cranny.
“I therefore urged the campaign council to be sincere,truthful and committed to the party’s victory by mobilising massive votes to the candidates of the party.”
In her acceptance speech, the Director General of the Adamawa state SDP campaign council,Mrs Titi Malik expressed gratitude to the leadership of SDP and the Gubernatorial candidate for the confidence reposed on them to do work .
Mrs Malik who was a former commissioner of Women Affairs in the state pledged to work assiduously for the victory of the party in the forthcoming political contests in all elective positions calling on all members and stakeholders to accord her team the need support and cooperation.
Addressing the council members and the party supporters,state chairman of the party,Abubakar Yusuf represented by his deputy,Mr.Hegel Gomna asked the campaign council to work in the interest of the party to ensure success of all candidates of the party at the polls.
