The recent intervention of the wife of president Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha Buhari in the internal squabble of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Adamawa state has been viewed as “timely and laudable “.
Hon.Rufa’i Umar Gombi made the description in an interview with journalists in Yola Tuesday, noting that the stakeholders meeting held at her instance connotes good effort to rekindle unity, peace and cooperation in the party.
Gombi who doubles as a candidate vying to represent Gombi constituency in Adamawa State House of assembly opined that the meeting has provided ample opportunities for reconciliation and rapprochement, noting that with the resolve of stakeholders to rally round the party, victory is assured.
“I came back from that meeting highly motivated and strengthened knowing that I’m not alone on this journey to represent my people in the house of assembly.
“Looking at the array of the people that attended the meeting, I’m convinced that Adamawa APC is a strong, united, cohesive and happy family ready to wrestle power from the PDP.”
