… urges Nigerians to vote wisely
… promises 7million votes for Kola Abiola
The Coalition of Arewa groups across the whole Northern ethnic groups from the 19 Northern states, on Monday, officially flagged off their door to door campaign and sensitisation for the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), Presidential Candidate Mr.KOLA Abiola.
The coalition said that Abiola support group have been campaigning for the candidate for 3 months prio to the grand flagged off.
Leader of the group, Alh Nasiru Muhammad Ingawa, emphasises that the group finds it necessary upon themselves to spread the Gospel of the new Nigeria down to every nook and cranny of the North for a credible leadership.
He said a new breeds of young leaders with fresh innovations that suit the modern day democracy for a prosperous nation and effective governance free from corruption, disunity and archaic ideas that held the country to ransom for a long time.
The group also call on all the Northerners to return the gesture received from Southern Region of Nigeria 2015 that resulted the coming of President Buhari to power.
He said: “The North has a beautiful long history of cordial relationship with the late Moshood Abiola of the blessed memory, and now with Mr. Kola Abiola who proved competent and capable of addressing the lingering issues of insecurity and economic crisis putting the North on its knees and by extension affecting the Socio-Economic strength of Nigeria as a whole.
“The Arewa Youth Group For KOLA Abiola is confident that the underground work going on at the grassroots level within the Northern rural areas and the Northern cities by the support group is being welcomed by the Northern populace and the group is certain that the PRP will surely produce the Next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the Forthcoming General election comes 25th February 2023.
“And Mr KOLA Abiola stands out to be the best among the other contenders seeking for the office of president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
In his remarks, the presidential candidate of PRP, Kola Abiola, said, “It is a fantastic endorsement and when you see a group like that endorsing you it very big development. It also shows that we are very inclusive in our party, we are truly a national party.
“We have 719 candidates in this elections, 23 governors and 44 senators and so on and so forth. So by doing this it show that we are truly national. I’m from the South and Kalo is from Kaduna South and we can still get a support from such group it is a good development.”
Also speaking, Leader of the Fulani Socio-Cultural group, Ibrahim Abdullahi, endorsed Kola Abiola as their preferred choice in the 2023 general elections.
The group vowed to mobilize seven million votes from the northerners regions to ensure Kola Abiola to win the 2023 election.
He said that their decision was on the ground that they want equity, fairness, capacity, justice and patriotism and they have seen Kola as the man who can provide that kind of leadership.
He said that the Fulani pastoralists use to have about five million votes untill recently when they were given opportunity for people register online, they decided to generate a data of young Fulani graduates whom we provided with phone devices to go from Ruga to Ruga and registered those people there so that we can be able to increase our voting capacity and we are happy to inform the general public that we were able provide seven million votes confidently.
“What inform our decision to identify with PRP is very simple, just two or three reasons; first, we are tired of the obligate, we have not seeing any different between a ruling APC and PDP, it is the same people the same culture and same injustice if Nigerians make mistake this time around to vote for APC and PDP.
“So what we are hoping for is complete change and in Kola Abiola and Haro Zego we see a gentlemen that can drive Nigeria forward. It is only natural if Nigerians have morality, we should team up for Kola Abiola why because of what happened to his father and his contributions for nation building.”
