The 2023 census would be acceptable by Nigerians, the Federal Commissioner representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at the National Population Commission (NPC), Hon. Joseph Shazin Kwali has said.
Shazin, who disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Kwali, also said the 2023 census would be free, fair and credible.
He then assured the people of the FCT and Nigeria at large that the security agents would be engaged during the census exercises.
He revealed that adequate preparations had been made in terms of sensitisations, advocacy, demarcations as well as inauguration of the publicity committees towards achieving the victories during the census.
He said his leadership would deem it necessary to give the necessary support and co-operation to the enumerators to carry out their duties effectively.
When asked on the security challenges facing the country for so long now, the Federal Commissioner called on the in-coming government to complement the efforts of the out-going administration in order to wage war against insecurity for the benefit of Nigerians.
