Nigeria since independence has been ruled by sixteen Heads of State and commanders- in- chief of the Armed Forces including the present General Muhammadu Buhari.

These leaders could not take Nigeria to the next level. The reasons are not new to us Nigerians. It is difficult to really point to where our leaders got it wrong. To me I believe it is due to avarice, nepotism, tribalism, favoritism and lack of vision for true governance.

When I hear people say Nigeria is the giant of Africa, I laugh because when you read about the development of other lesser nations, you marvel as to how they did it. I think it is probably because of too much money in the country which unfortunately is being enjoyed by few Nigerians who are lucky to be at the corridor of power of the various past and present leaders. Time and space will not permit me to analyze the financial ills of this great country Nigeria. We have witnessed how leaders have been recycled in the governance of this country of over 200 million intelligent people. The slogan is now GSM (Governor to Senate and Minister) meaning that once you are a governor, the next position would be Senator and later minister. This is indeed sad. Check the internet and see how Nigerians are doing extremely well in academic, business etc. in Europe, America, Canada and Africa.

Having said this much, I think it is time to test other Nigerians that are highly intelligent with good education and that had excelled in their various endeavors to come out and rescue this country from the hands of cabals that have clandestinely taken over the governance of the country. At this juncture, I would like to talk about a Nigerian who is the APC Chairman in the United Kingdom and an aspirant in this forthcoming Presidential election, Dr. Philip Egbaname Idaewor. He has been in Europe for over 20 years and had held various posts. He is a human right activist who has been assisting Nigerians and other African nationals in Diaspora. He is a first class pathologist and scientist of repute.

Many who are close to him know that he will offer a new innovative form of leadership which Nigeria need at this time. Dr. Idaewor is a man with impeccable records of excellence and professional endeavors in the field of medicine in addition to being an astute politician.

A member of his Hope 2023 platform disclosed that Dr. Idaewor is determined to eradicate hunger and youth unemployment. He is also willing to revive our hospitals that have been turned to dispensaries and make them functional. He is also set to educate our people at all levels and transform our educational institutions, provide classical rail transportation across the nation in an aggressive way not like the epileptic one that is currently put in place. Agricultural sector would be revolutionized just as it is done in Europe.

Dr Idaewor has always been a strong advocate for the political restructuring of Nigeria. He holds a firm view that the current political structure must be revisited and reworked in such a way that every ethnic nationality including the smallest and even the weakest should have a sense of belonging. He believes this is a factor that will enormously and positively impact upon the management of our diversity.

My prayer is that Dr. Philip Egbaname Idaewor an international leader of repute, a first class medical practitioner with intimidating qualifications, experience and who has witnessed two cultures in the past 20 years should be given a chance because I believe he is the man for the job.
