A group, the Coalition of PDP National And Diaspora Certified Support Groups, (COPAG), has frowned at the non-constitutional provisions for Diaspora voting in Nigeria.
The group has thus harped on the need for the National Assembly to urgently do something about it.
Towards this end, the group which is also known as the International Coalition of Certified Atiku Groups, (ICCAG), has commenced efforts towards building solidarity as means of encouraging strategic participation of Nigerians in the Diaspora for the Presidential Elections in 2023 via a scheme called ‘Diaspora Supports for Grassroots Mobilizations and Sensitizations in Nigeria’.
As a way of realizing this, the group has appointed the current Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the United States of American, USA, Hon. Daniel Akeni as the Director General of COPAG.
The group, which is promoting Nigerian Diaspora Supports for Grassroots Mobilization and Sensitization Campaign for Actualization of Atiku/Okowa 2023 Presidency, announced the appointment of Hon. Akeni at the Atiku Presidential Campaign Office over the weekend in Abuja.
The coalition, which is under the leadership of Hon. Comrade Vik-Morrow Ulo, Dr. Kanayo Gbemudu, Her Highness Hon. Princess Falade (Iyalode), explained that the appointment of Hon. Akeni was based on high recommendations.
