By Musa Baba Adamu

Hundreds of members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Umunneochi local government area of Abia State have decamped to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the state.

The decampees were received into the PDP fold by the Deputy Governorship candidate of the party for the 2023 general elections in Abia State, Okey Igwe.

Speaking on the rationale behind the mass defection to the PDP during their formal declaration which took place in Umunneochi LGA of the state, during the week, the APC defectors hinted that they were convinced that the governorship arrangements by the Peoples Democratic Party favoured the people of old Isuikwuato district and decided to join in achieving it.
