The supporters of former Governor Abdulaziz Yari have declared that they are only interested in voting for the APC presidential candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed.
The supporters made this declaration at Talata-Mafara town where they received the former governor who is now APC Zamfara West senatorial candidate.
According to them, they were in APC at present and would not accept to vote for anybody under duress, pointing out that there are great differences between democracy and military rule.
“We can vote for someone that has our interest at heart. Time has gone when we used to vote in the name of a political party, we are wiser now,” a spokesperson declared on behalf of the supporters.
He further stated that the supporters are not interested in voting for any other political party because of their belief that Zamfara State is traditionally an APC state.
One of the party chieftains who spoke on condition of anonymity said: “We want to reposition Zamfara State politically now and we cannot allow people to be manipulating our brains.”
