2024 Hajj: FCT Pilgrims, others observe Arafat prayers

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) contingent for this year’s Muslims Pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia successfully participated alongside millions of other pilgrims across the globe, prayed at the mount Arafat, as enshrined in the doctrine of one of the pillars of Islam Hajj.
It was gathered that the FCT contingent left Mina early and arrived at Mount Arafat to observe the vital rie of the pilgrimage.
According to the chairman of the FCT Ministerial Committee for the 2024 Hajj, Dr. Abdullahi Isa Kaura Mata the pilgrims are admonished to pray for Nigeria and its new leadership.
He also urged the pilgrims to pray for peace to continue to reign in Nigeria, and for security agencies to rid the nation of criminal activities including terrorism and banditry.
He further asked the FCT pilgrims to further pray for the country’s growth and development as well as economic prosperity.
The Chairman commended the National Hajj Commission for acting promptly on the inadequate provision of tents for the operation, which is being addressed by the Saudi Arabian authorities.
He revealed that the FCT contingent have continued to exhibit good conduct which is expected of them as the good Ambassadors of Nigeria while in the holy land.
Kaura Mata also revealed that arrangements are on top gear to ensure a seamless movement of FCT pilgrims from Arafat to Mudzalifa Sunday evening.
