2027: Contractors Donate ₦150m to Governor Radda 

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has received a donation of ₦150 million from the Katsina State Indigenous Contractors Association in support of his political engagements and ongoing electioneering activities.

The donation was presented on Wednesday during a courtesy visit by members of the association to the governor at Government House, Katsina.

Governor Radda, while receiving the delegation, expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a strong indication of trust in his administration.

“I sincerely appreciate this remarkable support. It is a reflection of confidence in our leadership and a shared commitment to the development of Katsina State,” the governor said.

He particularly commended the association for contributing toward the purchase of his nomination form ahead of the 2027 general elections, noting that such support strengthens democratic participation and continuity in governance.

“Your consistent support strengthens our democratic process and encourages us to do more for the people,” he added.

The governor also praised the local contractors for the quality of projects being executed across the state, noting that their works have consistently met required standards without reports of substandard delivery.

He further lauded their community-driven initiatives, especially their practice of executing small-scale developmental projects free of charge across the state.

“We recognize and value your commitment not only to contracts but also to community development. This is exemplary and worthy of commendation,” he said.

Governor Radda assured the association of continued partnership, emphasizing that his administration remains open to genuine collaborations for the development of the state.

“Our administration will continue to support responsible and committed partners who are contributing to the progress of Katsina State,” he stated.

He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to empowering local contractors and strengthening indigenous capacity as a strategy for sustainable economic growth.

“Empowering indigenous contractors remains central to our development agenda. We will continue to promote inclusion, accountability, and professionalism,” he added.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Abdullahi Esha, reaffirmed their unwavering support for the governor, disclosing that the group has so far contributed ₦165 million toward political activities in the state.

“So far, the association has contributed a total of ₦165 million in support of political activities, including ₦50 million for the governor’s nomination form and ₦100 million for broader engagements,” Esha stated.

He assured the governor of continued loyalty and support, saying their actions are driven by confidence in his leadership and developmental direction.

Also speaking, Alhaji Abbas Hamza said the visit was to appreciate the governor for his support to indigenous contractors and for creating an enabling environment for their operations.

“We are here to appreciate Your Excellency for your consistent support and the enabling environment that allows us to contribute meaningfully to state development,” he said.
