National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has expressed confidence that the 2027 general elections will reflect the true wishes of Nigerians, insisting that every valid vote will count.
In a post shared on his verified X account on Wednesday, the former Bayelsa State governor maintained that the will of the people remains superior to the ambitions of any individual or political interest.
Dickson also condemned electoral violence and alleged manipulation of election results, warning that those relying on intimidation, the misuse of security agencies, or the falsification of results through the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would not succeed.
He assured supporters that the NDC would continue to defend the democratic process and resist any attempt to undermine the electorate’s mandate.
According to him, Nigerians must remain vigilant and united against violence, oppression, vote-buying, and other actions capable of compromising free and fair elections.
Dickson further expressed confidence in the party’s ability to overcome political pressure, recalling what he described as previous victories against the “federal might.”
“I want to assure you that every vote will count. There will be no room for violence, intimidation, or the deployment of security operatives and armed thugs against law-abiding citizens,” he said.
He added that, with the support of Nigerians, the party would once again prevail through democratic means in the 2027 elections.
