A former member of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chris Usulor, has declared his intention to contest the Ebonyi Central Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Usulor, who represented Ezza South Local Government Area for three terms, made his ambition known while addressing supporters and party stakeholders in his constituency.
He said his decision was driven by a sense of responsibility and the need to deliver focused and result-oriented representation to the people of the senatorial district.
According to him, Ebonyi Central possesses vast potential across agriculture, commerce and human capital, but requires deliberate leadership and policies to unlock these opportunities.
The APC aspirant stressed that his legislative experience has equipped him with the knowledge and capacity to contribute effectively at the national level.
He also pledged to prioritise policies that would enhance infrastructure, improve education and healthcare, as well as promote sustainable economic growth across the zone.
Describing his ambition as service-driven, Usulor assured that he would engage widely with communities and stakeholders to build consensus around practical solutions to shared challenges.
The former lawmaker, who is the son of late Senator Vincent Usulor, further promised to focus on job creation, youth empowerment and rural development if elected.
He called on residents of the district to support his bid, irrespective of political affiliations, in order to achieve inclusive progress for the zone.
