Staff of the Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) have pledged their full support for the former Managing Director of the company, Dr. Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna, ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Gombe State.
The delegation made the pledge over the weekend during a solidarity visit to Gombe to congratulate Dr. Gwamna on his recent victory at the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primaries, where he secured the party’s ticket for the 2027 polls.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, KEDCO staff member Mr. Saidu Abubakar Sambo expressed the immense joy of the company’s workforce regarding Gwamna’s political milestone.
He described the primary victory as a clear testament to Gwamna’s leadership capability, noting that his stellar track record as KEDCO’s Managing Director remains highly respected.
Sambo assured the candidate that the staff would actively mobilize and sensitize voters across the state to ensure a smooth and successful election process.
“Dr. Gwamna’s emergence as the flag bearer will not only bring joy to the people of Gombe State but will equally drive meaningful development,” Sambo stated, adding that the workforce is ready to support his ambition in every possible way.
In his response, an appreciative Dr. Gwamna thanked the KEDCO delegation for traveling all the way from Kano to show their support.
He lauded their foresight and emphasized that the strong professional bonds he built during his tenure at the company would always be cherished.
Outlining his vision for Gombe State, Dr. Gwamna promised a heavy focus on human capital development, with a specific emphasis on youth inclusion.
