Bendel Insurance Football Club on Wednesday returned from their end of 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League season break to begin preparations for the 2026/27 Season.
The technical manager Kennedy Boboye with players and officials returned to the field at the Samuel stadium for their first training on Wednesday afternoon.
Coach Boboye who led the Benin Arsenals out of relegation zone when he took charge of the technical crew in October 2025 and finished 5th on the NPFL table,welcomed his players and officials back to work and made it clear that work has started.
He appealed to the players to make his job easy for him as the task ahead is huge considering the fact that the ambition of the club is to finish among top three and strive for the title every season.
“ I welcome everyone back and thank God we are back without health issues. Work has started. No room for indiscipline. We must do better than we did last season. The process begins today. We are expecting some new faces in the next new days. So,we have to receive them as members of Insurance family and work together as a team.”
“ Management has assured us of improved welfare,so,we have no reason not to deliver this time. We owe them and fans winnings and fine football.” Boboye said.
He said that all the retained and new players are expected to report to the Benin Arsenals GRA camp latest Friday, July 10, 2026.
