Three persons were reportedly killed while several injured in another communal clash in Funture village, in Bassa Local government area of Plateau state.
Chairman of Rukuba trive, Madaki Ague, who confirmed the death of the three of persons, also said many houses were burnt in the clash. The chairman further accused Iregwe tribesmen of launching the attack on the Rukuba community.
Confirming the incident, the Plateau state Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Habu Emmanuel, also confirmed the incident, but said only two persons were killed, adding that the crisis broke out over land dispute.
Emmanuel accused Iregwe of launching the attack. He however said that peace has been restored to the area.
Recall that the said tribes have severally been fighting each other over land dispute, whereby many were killed.
