Five buildings were razed and several cars and motorcycles worth millions of Naira were destroyed on Tuesday night destroyed following a Clash by two rival Cult groups in Aghaha -Otor Community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state
It was gathered that trouble started after a Commercial Motorcycle Operator Identified as Kelvin Marks parked his motorbike in front of a vehicle belonging to a rival Cult member making it impossible for vehicle owner to drive out.
Accordingly, our informed Sources said that following the Confrontation between the two rival Cult members, the Okadaman was attacked by boys loyal to the vehicle owner who are members of same Cult group who allegedly stabbed the Okada rider with broken bottles
The two Cult groups, it was further gathered, were: Aye and Barger Confraternities as in a bid to retaliate the attack, the Cyclist Mobilized his gang members, went into the town in Search of his assailants who had apparently fled the Scene of the attack, and unleashed their anger on persons Suspected to be members of the same Cult group as his attackers
But the Police Commissioner in the state, Hafiz Muhammed Inuwah who confirmed the incident, said that ten persons were arrested in connection with the Mayhen, adding that normalcy had since returned to the Community, adding that the culprits shall not go unpunished and appealed to Deltans to always provide Useful information to police.
