From Mika’il Tsoho, Dutse

No fewer than, five hundred and fifty five communities are participating in Rapid Response Register in Jigawa state.
This was announced by the coordinator Jigawa State Operations Coordination Unit (SOCU) Mustapha Umar during a meeting with CSOs and media.
The programme was organised by CDGP, at Tahir Guest palace Dutse.
He explained that the Rapid Response Register which was still ongoing was introduced by federal government to identify and support people affected by Covid-19 pandemic economically.
According to him, eight Local Government have been selected in Jigawa state through remote sensing that include Babura, Birniwa, Kafin Hausa, Gwaram, Jahun, Hadejia, Dutse and Malam Madori.
He explained that 3,583 people living with disabilities and 13,925 aged people were mined from the National Register to benefit from social interventions programs as designed by National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office, NASSCO.
