No fewer than 7,000 members of the All Progressive Congress (.APC) at the weekend in Sapele, Delta State dumped party for People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) following alleged irreconcilable differences and its related activities.
The decamped members, led by Mr Gana Egbemiye Odebala, former leader of the party, alleged many irregularities within the party including usurpation by the party leaders in the area, adding that APC in Sapele Local Government Area was allegedly dominated by greed and nonchalant proclivity.
Receiving the decampees, the PDP Chairman in the area, Mr Pius Ejaigbesaid said that party was big enough to accommodate everyone and urged them to remain steadfast so as to enjoy equal rights as others, adding” our party is big enough to accommodate everyone in the state, and we are very happy to have you as our members, and all of you will benefit from our party”
Noting that as part of effforts to sustain the SMART AGENDA of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and support the Kingsley Esiso led Delta state People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) to victory in 2023 , Ejaigbesaid maintained that Delta state remained PDP just as he described APC as dead party without ideas.
