Niger Correspondents Chapel loses member

The Niger State Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, has lost one of its members, he is Mallam Salihu Muhammad Nmababa, the correspondent of Triumph Newspaper.
Salihu’s died in the early hours of Thursday 14th September, 2017 after a protracted illness at a private hospital in Minna. He was born in Lalemi area of Bida town.
Late Salihu Muhammad who fell sick on Sallah day about two weeks ago has been buried in his home town at Bida in Niger state according to Islamic injunction around 2pm of same day.
According to a statement issued by the Chapel Secretary, Yakubu Mustapha Bina, before his death, the deceased also worked as a freelance with Graphic Newspaper for a short period of time when Triumph Newspaper of Kano state government was off the street.
He is survived by one wife and 14 children, 6 Males and 8 females with about 20 grand children, he was age 60 years old, burn in 1957
He attended School of Journalism in Kano and graduate of International Institute of Journalism IIJ Minna Study Centre.
The Chairman of the Chapel, Mr Ojo Aideloje has described Mallam Salihu’s death as very shocking to all our members hence he was a dedicated journalist who is an active member of the Union noting that we will missed him a lot.
Aideloje further urged the entire family to bear the irreparable lost and prayed that God will rest him in Aljanan Firdaus.
