Candido tasks FCTA’s political appointees on service delivery

The Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Abdullahi Adamu Candido has urged the newly inaugurated Mandate Secretaries and other senior political Aides in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to partner the council on efficient and rapid deliver the dividends of democracy to the residents.
Candido spoke on Monday at a special reception organised by AMAC, which held in Apo Town Hall, in honour of eight senior political appointees picked from the council.
According to him, “the future of this country lies on us, so we all must work to rebuild the society for our children and children children.
“This govt is a corrective regime. The All Progressives Congress (APC) right from the local, state, and federal levels is focused on correcting the mess of the past, occasioned by maladministration.
He also appreciated God for the favour done to the APC in AMAC, noting though it was long overdue, but it came at the right time.
He appealed to stakeholders to allow the appointees to settle down In their new place of assignment, as they need time to get acquainted with the terrain.
“Don’t constitute yourself as opposition to other stakeholders in AMAC, but promote synergy with all and sundry for collective interest.
“Also, I want to charge all politicians to allow them to settle down to work,” he stressed.
Also speaking, a Chieftain of APC in FCT, Tanko Abari enjoined the appointees to see their appointment as an act of God.
He equally advised them to work together as a team and deliver the promises made to the electorates during campaign.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Secretary, Health and Human Services Secretariat, Bar. Mrs Amanda Pam called for cultivation of love among Stakeholders in AMAC, urging all eschew hitherto pull-down syndrome.
She therefore assured that all the appointees will operate an open door policy, in order to enable them get things right in the course of discharging their duties effectively.
