…As Jigawa Okays N75m monthly for drugs procurement

In an effort to ensure free child and maternal care, the Jigawa state government has approved the release of N75 million monthly for the procurement of drugs in the state.
The state commissioner for health Dr Abba Zakari drops the hint while speaking to news men in Dutse the state capital.
He said that, the state government take this decision to enable more children and pregnant women benefited from fund set aside for free child care in the state.
According to him, initially Jigawa state government approved fifteen million for child care across the 27 local government monthly but now the present administration under Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Badaru increased the fund to N75 million.
Dr Abba Zakari maintained that, the drugs will be use at 12 various general hospitals and 10 primary health centres across the state.
The commissioner then, commended governor Badaru for supporting the health sector with all needed equipments, urging Jigawa people to corporate with present administration for better Jigawa state.
