Ex Katsina Gov, Shema to forfeit 31 houses – court

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted interim final forfeiture of eighteen houses belonging to the former Katsina state Governor , Alhaji Ibrahim Shehu Shema.
According to a reliable document sighted by Peoples Daily, the order was granted following application for the final forfeiture by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and the Katsina state government.
Also, Justice Kolawole of the court has granted interim forfeiture of thirteen other houses belonging to Shema, according to the document.
This brings to thirty one (31) the total number of houses to be forfeited by Shema who ruled for eight years in Katsina between 2007 and 2015.
The 31 properties are spread in choice areas of Abuja, Kaduna, Kano and Katsina and are said to be worth billions of Naira, according to the document.
