Management of Auchi Polytechnic, on Monday, announced the expulsion of a former Students Union President, Mr Samson Okoduwa and two others from the institution.
The trio were expelled for misconduct, according to a statement signed by Mr Mustapha Oshiobugie, the institution’s Public Relations Officer and made available to newsmen in Benin City, the Edo state Capital.
The acting Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Sanusi Jimah, according to the statement, also announced the expulsion of Obukowho Favour Oghenerume; former Secretary General and Unuareleokpa Patrick, former SUG Speaker.
The acting Rector said the trio still went about impersonating themselves as Union officials even with the knowledge that the institution’s authority banned union activities in the polytechnic, during the examination period.
Jimah said that the trio still led hoodlums to disrupt the first paper of the second semester examinations and refused to hand over union property in their possession.
The Acting Rector said that the expelled students engaged themselves in series of activities that brought disrepute to the institution.
Jimah vowed to curb lawlessness among students.
