The transparency nature of the National Assembly came to the fore recently when the management made their budget open to the Nigerian public for scrutiny.
Against this backdrop, a Non-Profit-Organization, Citizens Network for Anti-Corruption and Development lauded their action, saying that it is line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption crusade.
Speaking in Abuja at the weekend, the National Coordinator of the group, Comrade James Okoronkwo noted that the recent conferment of Transparency/Excellence Award in Public Service to the National Assembly’s Director of Budget, Alhaji Sani Tambuwal was in full appreciation of the NASS management transparency campaign led by the Clerk to National Assembly, Barrister Sani Omolori.
The group also commended the Secretary of Finance and Accounts Directorate of the National Assembly, Alhaji Bukoye Lasisi, whose hard work, professionalism and dexterity made the feat possible.
