Date:

From Ahmed Idris, Birnin Kebbi

The Kebbi State Youth vanguard for President Muhammad Buhari has made a passionate appeal to the National Assembly to investigate the last year advertisements and recruitment by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
The Youth vanguard said, the investigation was necessary, alleging that the Servicing has been inviting some individuals to its training school in Durumi, in FCT Abuja and giving them appointments.
In a joint press briefing yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, the leader of the team, Issa Issa said that the chairman and his members had employed some people through the back door.
“The FIRS placed advertisements on vacancies since late mid 2016 and nothing has been done. However, as at September and October 2017 few individuals were secretly invited to FIRS TRAINING SCHOOL IN DURUMI, FCT- Abuja leaving the masses to their fate,” he lamented.
Our correspondent gathered that for over 12 years, FIRS has been operating without BOARD. Surprisingly aside NNPC, No revenue generating Agency can compete favourably with FIRS, while abandon the innocent people who doesn’t have anybody in the government left in the labour market.
He then thank President Muhammad Buhari, Senate president Bokula Saraki and Kebbi State Governor for the economic success recorded throughout the 2018 and peace in the country at large.
