Three sisters of the embattled Chairman of Munya Local Government Council in Niger State, Alhaji Mohammed Yahuza. have been abducted by some gunmen suspected to be Kidnappers.
The girls were said to have been kidnapped, early Saturday, at the Chairman’s residence in Kuchi.
Reports said the abductors, while carrying out their nefarious act, shot sporadically into the air to prevent people from coming to rescue the girls.
The kidnappers were reported to have called the council chairman and informed him that they have taken his three sisters away without mentioning or demanding any ransom yet.
According to reports, the kidnappers are said to be using Kabula forest and other neighboring forests to hide their victims and conduct their criminal activities.
The Chairman have been under fire recently with reports indicating that he has been impeached by the Legislators of the local government for allegedly not carrying them along in the administration of the council and various other malpractices in the execution of projects in the area.
The State Police Command, through its Spokesperson, ASP Mohammed Dan-inna Abubakar, who confirmed the incidence, said it has since swung into action to rescue the girls and apprehend those behind the kidnapping.
