The village head of Dei-dei community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Saidu Hamza Sani has decried the dearth of infrastructure in his area.
Sani noted that it has become imperative to remind the government of its promises made to the community as well as draw attention to plights of the residents.
He specifically called on the FCT Administration and Bwari Area Council to urgently address the situation.
According to him, both the FCTA and Bwari Council leadership, Musa Dikko should not forget about the infrastructure deficit being experienced in the area and ensure that the issues are addressed.
The community leader disclosed that the entire community has no potable water, decent clinic and a well-equipped school.
He reiterated that the population within the area was increasing without any provision from the government.
He said: “The situation in Dei-Dei is not a new thing, FCT Administration and Bwari Area Council are aware of our plight.”
The community chief lamented the situation whereby the only clinic within the area operates without the desired health personnel and facilities.
